I do still wish it’s a missed opportunity to go to the earliest point in the timeline and have it take place in yet another industrial setting, with crazy sci fi steampunk animatronics no less. Could you imagine if they had it take place in a small town during fall fest? Orange leaves, small town vibes, AN OUTSIDE SETTING IN FNAFFF, 70s aesthetics and vintage Halloween decorations. Butttt
Fnaf is very sci fi now, that’s just what it is, it isn’t old gritty clunky rotting mascots in a regular Chuck E Cheese anymore. At least they ARE doing a retro futuristic thing, and I appreciate the mascot suits, but yeahh I mean giant spider robots and robots that do paperwork and shred paper? Eh. But accepting that and appreciating it as it doing its own thing, this looks pretty promising.
As someone who appreciates the more grounded elements of Fnaf that are twisted by the paranormal aspects, do I like this new vintage Music Man? Not really. BUT, in this new era of the franchise, it’s cool. I like using the music box in his mouth as a sort of grinder. It’s cool because it’s something you can see as being included for function as an entertainment animatronic, but ALSO acts as a scary deadly thing.
I really appreciate the detail in the “Hand Unit” voice sounding more real and less unabashedly and inhumanly cheerful. Plus, he sounds younger too. I think that’s great voice direction, and paints the picture in my head that he was once a Fazbear employee who’s voice was later replicated by AI and used by the company.
While giant spider robots and hand units being present THIS early is strange, I do think seeing the history this early is super cool. The old computers and the old Helpi are awesome details and world building.

when the mimic posses smth there eyes turn orange so what if vanny was the mimic and thats why vanessa was thought to have a twi but it was the mimic in the rabbit suit as we know the mimic was present in the security breach game and they were trrying to lure us deeper in one ending and glitchtrap allthough controlled vanessa the mimic could be involved and working with glitchtrap and thats why we saw the mask of the bunny but no body in one ending and also the ending where vanny finds gregory in a box could possibly be why it has his voice but idk thats my take on it

It’s interesting how Fazbear entertainment had a van in 1979 when the help wanted tokens say it was established in 1983, so either the company was founded much earlier and Freddy’s Pizzeria opened up in 83, or it’s the other way around with Freddy’s Pizzeria being open a lot longer then we thought but the company not being founded until 1983, idk it could go so many ways

We’re playing as Recovery Team 1 or Recovery Team 2.
(RT2 was first introduced in the first short story/credits story that introduced the Mimic—after Edwin leaves, in 1980, RT1 went to the warehouse/workshop and killed by the Mimic.)
RT2 are the characters hunted by the Mimic in the actual story, finding evidence of the Mimic’s origin, etc.

GUYS THEORY: we notice here that it’s snowing and it’s winter, and we know from help wanted that the pizzaplex was being built around winter, so maybe the player in this game was tasked with bringing the mimic to the pizzaplex.

i think the fact that its snowing on the roof means it takes place when the pizzaplex was being constructed. While yes the building is from 1979 or whatever, Murray has been doing his own thing for a while and this is what he's been up to. Maybe we don't get tiger rock IN the pizzaplex, but its telling us how he got there as a mascot

The craziest part of this is that it seems like you're going in as some sort of operative for Fazbear. Like a cleanup crew guy. Not a technician, not some kid, but a hired hand that knows he's going into a dangerous situation and is there to repossess company assets.
It's certainly a new, interesting take.

This seems to be the Game version of the Mimic Story. There are similar beats to it but things are noticeably different. Like the fact the Tiger plushie already has a costume which didn't exist at the time the Mimic was originally found. I think we're dealing with another case of the games taking elements from the books and doing their own spin on them again seen with Sister Location and Pizzaria Simulator.

1. There is no way this takes place in 1979, it's STUPID advanced! Best guess, 1979 is when the Mimic was created, and this game takes place before Security Breach.
2. Why is there an early version of DJ Music Man on the roof?
3. Why is there such advanced technology in a abandoned factory? Fazbear Entertainment could've gone there a reused it, but why not retrieve the Mimic then?

This is the game version the Mimic Story, because this seems to be different from the Tales Version of the story, most importantly with what else Fazbear likely takes and the fact the tiger plush already have a costume version. As well as many things not in the FNAF tales version.

I seriously hate the Mimic. I hate the shoehorning of this character into a lore that was already complicated to begin with. Why does The Mimic have to be some 70s invention that neither Henry or William ever fucking brought up and not a new 2020s invention from Fazbear Entertainment.
EDIT: I want to correct myself and say I don't hate the idea of The Mimic being a new addition to this franchise.
My only problem with it will always be the fact that they are trying to make my believe this thing has been around since the 1970s but just seemingly never talked about ever.

I feel more separated from Fnaf as new things come out but I get it that people like this and are exited and I like that this seams more horror and I do like the Fnaf book but what I’m getting at is I think the Fnaf book such as the mimic or other things shouldn’t really cross into the game world and I get that we need a new villain after William but I guess I just feel so nostalgic about the old games that I’m not really willing to move in this new direction like SB with a more future setting but that’s just me and I wish I could feel the same way I did for Fnaf all the way back in 2014-2016 and the movie brought me back to the franchise and I hope the dbd crossover and the second movie will make me love this series again but I’m just not a big fan of the more sci fi approach I guess
