3:30 Boss fight -> I understand the sensationalism, but where is common sense and logic? The main character focuses on the boss instead of immediately cutting the red wires in order to take him down. We all agree it's a game, but dayum! Give players complete freedom of action and allow them to choose their strategy, instead of forcing specific mechanics during a boss fight. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way.

The detailed combat style is what's missing from most games and is the sole aspect that can determine a game of the year candidate from a mediocre experience. Combat systems similar to games like Batman Arkham series, Shadow of War, Sifu, etc (and from the looks of it, Phantom Blade) are what I look at to determine if a game was developed with pure love in the hearts of the devs lol, or not. Imagine BannerLord, Samurai Warriors/Dynasty Warriors, (and any other games that just dial it in), with just a rudimentary version of this type of articulated combat, wouldn't even have to be super detailed, just some simple parry animations and a bit of weight would take these games a long way.

The transition mid-combo into finishing moves is LITERALLY seemless. You couldn't even tell (if it weren't for the dynamic camera movement). I've never seen it so buttery smooth before. Not in Sekiro or anywhere

Fighting mechanics look fantastic! Only problem that the UI feels like it is hurting the immersion some but, if they were to replace UI effects, that will likely hurt the chances of casual player getting into the game. Maybe replace those big triangle buttons with subtle light indicators or color changes and at least for the minor enemies have wear damage instead of those obnoxious yet somewhat helpful healthbars
